Hi, I am Elaine.
Product Designer with an unconventional creative path.
Before product design, I studied jewelry design, worked in graphic design, and taught art. I eventually brought those worlds together through a Master’s in Digital Media, which led me into designing digital products.
I spent the next several years as the first product designer at Silver Icing, working closely with the CEO and engineers across everything from early product ideas to shipped experiences and the company’s first design system.
That mix of backgrounds still shapes how I work. I care about how the whole system fits together, but I’m equally particular about the details. I’ve learned that good product design is often knowing what needs more thought, what can be simplified, and what doesn’t need to be designed at all.
